Fairtax is a farce. It pretends to get over a trillion dollars in sales taxes FROM the government.
Do your homework -- read the FT book -- page 148 "The federal government will become a MAJOR taxpayer".
Not only will the FEDERAL gov become a "Major tax payer" all state, county and local governments have to be "major tax payers' too -- they have to pay this same tax.
So Fairtax depends on absurd nonsense. Its not a serious plan -- its a lying gimmick, and the leaders know it.
