Doctor Who: 50th Anniversary Project
3 - The Edge of Destruction
So, in preparation for the big 50th anniversary in 2013, I'm going to watch all the episodes of classic Doctor Who I can find, starting with William Hartnell in 1963 and working my way back up to the new revived series with Christopher Eccelston, David Tennant, and Matt Smith.
I thought it might be kind of fun to vlog my progress, so here we are.
Sorry for the shaky camera again. I'm still working on a configuration that works for me in my small space.
As for the video, I really don't have any experience with video editing of any sort, especially iMovie which is what this was made in, so if you have any pointers please tell me! I want to make these things pleasantly watchable.

Thanks so much for watching!
I totally agree about Susan. She's great when she's serious or discovering something. But she's really bossy and totally a screamer. Her screams are actually why I won't be finishing the rest of Season 1. I might start up with the second Doctor. Thanks for these summaries, they're great! I think the reason why Barbra and Susan scream so much is because it was written in the 60's when women were still considered "delicate". Makes me really appreciate the modern female companions :)

Susan gets a few good bits to do later, but the actress mainly left because she felt she wasn't being written properly. Anyway, great and interesting reviews!

If you don’t like whiney companions you got 50 years of fun ahead of you, even the ones who were not meant to be screamers eventually start screaming, get the ear plugs in when you reach Victoria and Melanie.

I love Susan, it's a shame the writers made her scream so much. Other than that, she's an awesome character. Her later appearance in the Big Finish audio productions are a lot better (she is much older), but not just the "damsel in distress".
This episode is pretty good for what it is. It's a "bottle episode" if I ever saw one. They are stuck in the TARDIS because the producers wanted to spend less money than usual (I know, less money, really?).
