I was awaiting Maria appearance to SB for a long time and when she came I was dissapointed actually. I don't mind Maria, but the actress wasn't great.

Oh so right Jomana!! Maria was one of the worst characters on Sunset Beach. I think it had more to do with the actress and how the writers wrote the character. She had no backbone whatsoever. Oh and i got banned from a website that couldnt deal with my opinion haha

@Meila2SunsetBeach That was my *FIRST* impression of Maria - in her very first scene, even when she was suffering from amnesia - SO *GENUINE*! That's how the outstanding Christina Chambers always played her. Maria was nothing but sweet and kind to Meg, but all her kindness was just spat back at her face. And yes, instead of talking to Ben and Maria rationally like an ADULT, and getting all the facts right, Meg threw one of her childish hissy-fits and caused Maria to fall down the stairs.

In fact, you-know-who's fans act as nasty and psychotic as DEREK AND TESS themselves - who put Maria through all that brutal trauma, as you explained, when she NEVER DID *ANYTHING* TO THEM. If people cannot have any sympathy for someone who went through all that Maria did, they must be truly inhuman. Maria on the other hand is a testament to the human spirit - she emerged sweeter and kinder than ever after going through Hell

@Rapture1987 its just so stupid! I can accept that everyone has their own preferences, but everytime anything nice is said about Maria they get all psychotic and nasty to scare Maria fans off, so I make I sure I give as good as we get :) Meg was so childish and spoiled/stalked ben to go out with her. Then we have Maria who went a brutal trauma, lost her family and her husband, fell victim to an attempted rape, was drugged, got amnesia, lost 5 years of her life and they have the nerve2hate HER!

@Meila2SunsetBeach Yes, Meila. Meg and her sister were complete bitches, and their father was the male equivalent of that. It couldn't have been plainer that they were "raised in a barn". If it weren't for Derek and Tess's machinations, Ben and Maria would certainly have ended up together, like you said. Meg's fans couldn't possibly like someone who epitomised grace and class and purity and kindness like Maria, because they are as tasteless as the corngirl from Kansas and her family.

I know because she did with mine on a different video - its so pathetic - just like meg! haha
