For the next videos, German big bands and singers will give way to the French chanson (which is another passion of mine). First up is the man with the warm golden voice : Jean Sablon, French crooner par excellence. He sings "Paris, tu n'as pas changé" (Paris, you haven't changed a bit). This song was released as a B-side to "Le Fiacre", a famed song closely associated with Yvette Guilbert. In "Paris" he sings about the city he loves so much and how glad he is to find it hasn't changed after returning from a trip to the USA. Of course in that fateful year 1939, a lot was about to change... The video contains archive footage of Paris and you will see Mistinguett, Maurice Chevalier, Lucienne Boyer, Léo Marjane and the beautiful Mireille Balin.... Enjoy!
About the record : La voix de son maître - K-8320/OLA3015.
The record is in perfect condition, now let's hope YT does not distort the sound too much.
sweet stuff; thanks for sharing!

Qué evocación de la Paris del ayer, de la Ciudad Luz del Universo !!! y la magnífica voz de Jean Sablon le da un toque auténtico de esta remembranza musical
En Colombia recordamos amablemente a este gran vocalista francés.
