@SenorRocketBaby you must be from pittsburgh to say "jag?"
-
Really? Who's the jag who disliked this?
-
What a beautiful song. So sweet and sad at the same time.
-
Darkness in the light.... and vise versa......;)

His singing kills me (not in a good way) but there's no doubt he's a musical genius.
-
Since when is this country?
-
There are better Stephin, but for most others this would be brilliant. Somehow none of the versions I've heard of this song quite work as well as when I talk /sing/ my way through it when I end up thinking this is a perfect song. Lyrics as ever are so memorable and I always love it when the "negativity" of the words is peaks and contrasts to the beauty of the music. Not my favourite country singer, but I think a Johnny Cash version would be interesting.

Question: I was at this concert. Didn't they do "Luckiest Guy on the Lower East Side" and "Back from San Franciso?" Or am I just making that up?

mr.merrit is an unbelievable artist. Hopefully he will never be realized by the public of the genius that he is. This man can write.
