Second Life is due a physics update. The new physics engine still struggles a little with chains made of individual physical hoops.

  • Havok 4 is great, but i think the collision area of the geometry of some prims need an update too...

  • I've seen a JIRA issue about a bug with toruses.

There's a video with a chain made from hollowed cubes, that apparently works.

  • That's too bad...I was hoping H4 would solve that problem too...thanks for the test

  • So, the point is that chains don't work very well, right? Are the links made from rings, or hollowed cylinders?

Also, does the size make a difference? What if you made the links as small as possible...

  • No :-|

But Linden will introduce a new lighting effect so it will look prettier.

  • aww, i was hopefull lol... i have to wait tilli get home to play with the beta :(

  • ok andy, that's a wrap. LOL things will get better with time won't they?
