How to record computer audio (Windows 7)

WINDOWS 7--
Right Click the Sound Properties and Select Recording Devices.
Right Click a Clear area in the Window that has opened, and press Show Disabled Devices.
You should now see Stereo Mix.Right Click that and Enable it.
Also, you can Disable your Mic(s) to ONLY hear the computer, not hearing it and you.
Done.Simple.

@buttfuck6969 When Recording devices shows up, right click a clear space and press "Show disabled devices".If you've haven't done that, try so.

Right click. Make sure they're both ticked. Then click Stereo mix and then SET AS DEFAULT. It does work.

You need to get your sound card drivers in order to have the Steareo Mix option.

Hey even, I have no "stereo mix" in my recording devices... I clicked on "show all devices' and it isn't there either... I have windows 7 and I had no problem with my old computers XP?... whats up?

i did exactly what u did... open it like that then right click an empty space then enable disabled then i dont see nothing

yeah i followed every single step. i even updated my drivers, btw i have a conexant high definition smartaudio 221, i think that's what it is. and im on a laptop, don't know if that matters
