Getting a normal diamondback terrapin hatchling to begin eating is an arduous task. But teaching a two-headed, Siamese twin hatchling to start eating has proven a chore of Herculean proportions. The breakthrough came last night when after two weeks of patience, the twins began picking at brine shrimp and shredded chicken. Both heads sampled the menu and munched down a little dinner. With "normal" terrapins this breakthrough is usually followed in quick succession by voracious appetite. We pray the same holds for our twins.
this is interesting.
