Are you recomending the combo so much to just justify your purchase? I mean really, what the combo gives you over just e7? I know it's a better amp, but is the difference audible (to you)? Just wondering... Debating between e10 and e7 myself, will take e10 probably.

@n305 the difference is subtle with the e9 + the e7, for lower resistance headphones, they're quite similar, but with higher resistance headphones, the difference is still there

hello sir! Nice combo will get the E9 ,, I only just got the E7 which is is superb!

I get it home from work using it as a headphone amp then hook it up to the pc

I currently use my Hi Fi system to use the E7 DAC. what is the best volume setting to have I don't want to put it to 60 volume in case I fear of blowing the amp..

@diuleil I'm looking at the hd598s as my next purchase, but I hear that an amp makes it that much better. Do you think the e7's improvement is justifiable for the price?

Nice i just got my e9 this morning (already had e7) , its definately worth it if ure into your music, its a noticeable improvement, my cans are HD518 ,
