Name: Rusty Badgersplaudet (we obviously know her as "Munch")
Breed: Appaloosa
Height: About 14-14.1 H
Color: Red Roan
Number N 533864
Sex: Mare
Date Foaled : 6/5/1994

Owner's description:

"I've had her for four years or so, and I don't know much about her prior to that. She was learning barrel patterns from the gal I got her from, but I think she only tried her on one play day.
She's been barefoot for at least the last 5 years, and likely much longer. She gets regular trims from a barefoot trimmer. She gets sore feet when ridden on logging roads, but that has been helped by wearing hoof boots. She's never had any lameness issues that I'm aware of. She's due for vaccinations, teeth floating and is about to be wormed.

About her personality...I would describe her as very willing and eager to please. She's incredibly respectful of peoples space. She houses well with other horses, and will give way to more dominant horses.

Her best rider would be a confident one, with the ability to ask from her what she's definitely capable of doing. Munch is more than willing to comply. In my opinion, she's a very keen, sensitive horse that can be asked a lot of.

I've ridden her in the arena, where she seems more relaxed and at ease. She's done some trail riding, and is best when in a group of other horses. She's been the lead horse, but seems more comfortable in the middle of the group. She's was obviously ridden on a cross country trail, over logs and through water, and did great. To the best of my knowledge, that was the first time she's ever been jumped. She has always used a smooth snaffle bit with me and the previous owner.

She is an easy keeper, as far as food. She's been kept on local hay for most of the years I've had her. She gets alfalfa during the winter, but has never required it to keep weight on. She doesn't get grain regularly, but loves it when it's offered.

I love her so much and don't want to part with her, but I need to. A Pony Club home is my first choice, because I know firsthand how group members care for their animals. Munch deserves that kind of home, and she will pay back the love ten-fold."
