Just a quickie little bit with bean.

  • oh.. and the heart attack was brought on from excessive egg laying that the vet and could not seem to stop. she was a treasured friend.i never really understood the joys of having a bird companion until her. she taught me much, the least of which is how rewarding a companion bird can be and have in your life. but this you already know as your videos show:) laughter and love abound in your home, you can tell. and the birds are part of making that happen hey:)

  • @NykaAriadne Thank you for the kind words. Our cockatiel is 16 years old. She was an egg layer too. But she stopped laying now. Somehow she broke her leg and it set improperly. She gets around with a hobble but we let her wings grow in so she can fly to us. She prefers my husband though. She was his first bird that bonded to him. She was mine but she chose him so I'm happy with that. Bean has a buddy now. A blue parrotlet named KeKe. He was a rescue and only has 6 toes.

  • do you guys have cockatiels also? i thought i heard one in a few of the videos... if so, do you let them out to play like Bean does?

  • @NykaAriadne Hi! thanks for your nice comments today. My husband's bird is a cockatiel. He holds her all the time but Bean likes to torment her. He's such a little busy body.

  • Bean is so cute, what kind of parrot is it?

  • Thank You! Bean is a parrotlet. If you google them you will find lots of info about them. Little pint sized amazons. He is currently staying up way past his bed time...

  • you're welcome. i have heard parrotlets are busy little non stop engines that could*L*and i thought tiels got into everything*L* and fast.. man, i didnt know they were so fast, flitting about like hummingbirds almost. when i lost my tiel earlier this year to a heart attack, it was hard, but i know i will get another bird buddy one day and parrotlets are on the short list of choices. so watching your vids helps me understand their behaviors and characteristics: )thanks for sharing Bean with us:)

  • aaaahhh sooooo cute i want a bird like that

  • BEAN, MARRY ME!
