  • Thanks for your comments makeout4paul and Slacklad86.

Wish they could be viewed with less pixelation, but hey, guess I just have to accept this poor quality.

  • Hi PLMORRISON. Yes, things are really shaky right now but it's not all doom and gloom. Many people here are doing great things - unfortunately the media tend to portray the negatives always rather than the positives. And yes, there is a chance you could become a victim of crime, but there is also a good chance that you'll come here and just have an amazing time. Crime happens everywhere.

  • Fantastic video! I would love to show this to all of the ignorant foreigners who don't believe we even have cars, let alone amazing places like Melrose Arch and other great places!

  • Thanks for this fantastic videos of one of the best cities in the world.

  • you are fooling yourself , crime happens everywhere YES but nowhere in the world people will shoot you for $20! thats what makes SA so special!!!!!!!

  • cont.

where the money and the power still remain inaccessible to the mass of people.

  • I think what is truly sad, is that we foreigners that had so much hope for the new South Africa have seen it turn from one Paria to another. The victims have been and will always be just the innocent working class people. It is really sad as it is a beautiful country and has a gem like Jo'burg, that is slowly deteriorating. It is painful and sad to watch, with every year things just get worse and worse, and we see it go the way of other African countries

  • So how are things in the CDB? The Carlton open and thriving again? what about the IBM building? JSB stock exchange back in the CBD? Some of us american foreigners remember when there were safe open air cafés in downtown Jo'burg and remember going out in Hillbrow.... Can we go there now? We know there are cars in SA as all we used to hear about were the car jackings and to never stop at a robot....can you tell me it is truly safe there now for us to come back for a visit?
