@LordHighXcutioner My opinion is that if I saw somebody about to fire a gun at my wife or child (or any child, for that matter), I would feel obligated to step in between the gun and the child, even if it meant getting shot myself. And I am certain I would NOT derive any pleasure or joy from doing so.

@NunoMarques1000: My opinion is that you should help others only if you gain pleasure and joy in doing so. If you feel that you have an obligation to do so, but do not get any joy and pleasure out of it, then you shouldn't do it in the first place.

i am confused in one Oshos opinion regarding the humanitary help.Osho believes that all the poor man are under a natural selection, and if no one helps them, they will eventually disappear. That will finish proverty. Christianity, have been helping the poors and so the proverty continues to happen. But If we saw some children in danger, people victims of an earthquake, like in japan, some friend in danger, dont we have to help them? Isnt that our human essence that differenciate us from animals?
