8 to Hagler, I can amost understand how a lot say that 9 was an even round, but Hagler definetly didn't WIN 9. I have to give 9 to Leonard though, he really did control the majority of the round even though Hagler had a few bursts of good shots.. My scorecoard:

Ray Schooled him in this round? Hagler had Leonard more hurt in this round then leonard had him. Yes, Ray landed some fast shots, but he lost this round. He got stunned at the start and gassed bad at the end. Round goes To Hagler.

He stalked him the entire round and hit him with some hard punches. Ray landed flashy combinations but did not hurt Hagler

Hagler clearly won The 9th, he was out of gas; but he had a third wind left in him. In the 9th, Hagler should've knocked him out. He let Leonard flurry, which gets the attention of the crowd which will influence the judges,so,Hagler never had a round like that in the fight again. Leonard simply outsmarted him. He controlled the action for 9 of the 12.Hagler followed him getting hit with the more showy punches and hey he hurt Hagler in the 9th with a good left hook, he shook him. Smart Boxing

Those leanord flurries were f*cking shit, looked like they annoyed Hagler more than hurt him, most of them missed or glanced off the side of his big bald head. Haglers shots hurt Leanord and backed him up.

Round 9, the round a HEART of a champion rose to the occasion and the WORLD knew it was HIS FIGHT, HIS DAY in the sun.
Blinded in one eye he did the same earlier in his career against Hearns. He took DOWN the two biggest names of the ERA on HEART. Yeah, he had skills not many human beings EVER had, but his HEART was got him through 2 of the greatest power punchers in boxing history.
