After much speculation, Seattle's favorite son, Draze is putting the finishing touches on his ultra anticipated mixtape. While the project is yet to be titled, the street single "What Up Pimpin" has become a hood anthem that has many Northwest hip hop fans singing along. The song was originally for the hip hop compilation titled "For the Love of Music", which featured Seattle heavy hitters, Sir Mix A lot, Shabazz Palaces and several others. In Draze's own words, "I appreciated the opportunity to even have my song on the track listing with such great artists. The response has been tremendous. We felt like we got such great feedback from the town that we might as well take it up a level, so we decided to shoot a video for it."

The song "What Up Pimpin" features some of Seattle's top young lyricists. Among them are Parker (Tha Bizness recording artist), Yirim Seck and Da Association. While the song has all the makings of an instant 206 classic, the video is equally entertaining and eye popping. Draze and his fellow emcee's take you on a journey from Capitol Hill, through the CD and the South end while stopping at some of Seattle's most popular spots along the way: Rock Paper Scissors, Kicks & Tees, J- Styles Barbershop and the famous #7 bus. It appears that several of the local celebs have also joined Draze in his hood greeting "What Up Pimpin." The video also features guest appearances from J Hen (One half of Tha Bizness), DV-One, Casey Carter, Ghetto Prez, Larue, Swing One and many more.

  • Town Bizness right there!!!! What up pimpin!!!

  • Dope!Didn't this brotha used to have a sports show on local cable? This song & video is nice though.

  • This really IS a good video, and the tune's good, and Draze has talent. But the words? Man, it just speaks to stupid-ass stereotypes, low expectations and low self-esteem. That's the part about rap I don't like. You don't need all that shit to write about what's meaningful to you or your brothers and sisters or the 'hood... up the game to higher intelligence, because if this song represents what you really are, Draze, inside, then... you've got an amazing talent you're wasting. Peace out.

  • Hot Shit Yirim Seck!
