Thank you :). This is very helpful. Right now, I am currenly 12, and I plan to be a manga artist and writer when I grow up; but I have a queston- Do you have to be in Japan to be successful in making manga? Because I live way out here in the U.S.

@TheShamullah I'm the same way. I can make good stories I just need someone to draw.

@TheShamullah i can try but im just a beginner i could show u some of my drawings

You see, i want to be a manga writer, but is anyone willing to draw for me?

@fengshui522 This guy is smart. The internet is only going to be a better resource for the "up-and-coming" artists. Millions of people will have access to your artwork with websites such as YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and Myspace. Its all about promoting your work! Use these websites to your advantage! If your manga get's big enough, you will be selling copies of it like it's nothing!

is that still possible in 2010? or even 2011?

@superlego2 Yes, it's hard but anything is possible if you keep your mind to it.
I'm 15 and am trying to make an anime.

Hi I am a young manga writer and I was wondering if onece I get my first volume out if you would like to see it. It's called Tenma Otome (Demon Girl), I am a little new to drawing manga but I am very good at it. So again I just wanted to see if you would like to take a look at it.
I'm a writter. I recently shared my work with someone who I had met on the internet. Not knowing her I was reluctent to do so. To my surprise she really liked it, she even offered to illustrate it for me. Well we have been working together via internet and mail for a few months now. For a while everything was going great, but I am starting to loose confidence. You see I live in the US, and she lives in the UK. Not to mention that this is a OEL manga, they don't usually do well. Any advice?

When working with other people communciaiton and trust are really important. Start communicating more and hopefully the trust will come back!

A have a question as well, once I have everything...you know, characters, plot script, pages artbook and several numbers of my manga... who do I get in touch with, is it a single person or a whole board of people and after that how would they do to keep in touch with me, I'm I required to go to Japan (or even live there) or can everything be on line or overseas comunication, I'm asking becaue my project has like 10 finished issues made by my own hand and people get amazed everytime they see it

What you really need are customers. Get together with an artist and find some people who'd be willing to pay you for your comics. That way you don't need anyone else!
