A few mainstream media outlets have focused on Guantanamo Bay this week, as accused prisoner Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri finally faces a military tribunal. He's the supposed mastermind of the 2000 bombing of the USS Cole in Yemen which killed 17 sailors. So as the media focuses on Nashiri's trial, let's take a look at Gitmo from a financial perspective, is it financially beneficial to keep these detainees abroad, or in the US?
My dads deployed there and families can't go there.

@NDHduz I don't think closing Gitmo would repair our economy (although I am in favor of that) but, ending our military occupations might.

I almost want to say it's worth the $150,000,000 a year, but that number could definitely be a lot less if we got rid of some of these unnecessary prisoner luxuries.

Obama the liar could repair our economy by getting rid of Gitmo but he just makes promises they are not meant to be kept!!!!!!
