Make sure you install carbon monoxide detectors near each sleeping area. It's not good enough or conforming to the law in California to simply have only one detector in your house if you have separate sleeping areas. For example, if rooms are split into two wings in a house, you'll need two detectors. Or if there were two wings and then an upstairs bedroom, you'd need three detectors because there are three sleeping areas. You get the point.
