When will Amazon offer this Album in MP3?
The Kentucky Colonels Live in Sweden 1973.
It is already in their system, do they need to borrow my album? Hahaha.
Tell me baby why you been gone so long. Mickey Newberry wrote it and Clarence does a fine job of singing it and flatpicking the guitar. Roland White plays mandolin, Eric White plays bass and Alan Munde is on banjo. It is hard to believe that Clarence was a Bluegrass Star, then a Rock Star and then a Bluegrass Star again and gone by 29 because of a drunk driver. I stll eat my eggs cooked hard because that is the way he ate them when my mom cooked him breakfast. True story.

  • One of the best albums I own. There are moments on some of these tracks that are beyond sublime, where Munde and Clarence complement each other perfectly. Why Rounder doesn't re-release this is a mystery (or a travesty). Great, great album!

  • I have this on a Tape. Roland and Clarence the White Brothers playing together as the Kentucky Colonels. M

  • Many thanks for sharing the music, and still more thanks for sharing the story. Im staying with "Over Easy", but appreciate all insight into the life and times of Clarence White, and all the rest.

  • Great Video -- I saw/heard Clarence live a the Ash Grove around with a "Kentucky Colonels Reunion" 1970. He changed my life.

  • Seriously, how are there two thumbdowns for this song? What cretin is sitting out there going "this song sucks"? Some people man...

  • I really miss this album too.

  • This is...as good as music gets.

  • Thought I was listening to Tony Rice there for a minute. You can really hear the influence that Clarence had on Tony. Thanks for the breakfast story - do you have you any others?
