Nice " TOY" to play with but I prefer my TEK 2225 Scope----Paid only $90 U.S.D. for the 2225 and it work's like a charm!!! If you seriously get into Electronics you'll quickly outgrow the Jyetech.

@zupnikal LeCroy also makes affordable scopes like the waveace series, you can get them for about 1000 bucks (and up. ;-) ).

I just built this thing, but the instructions don't say how to connect the probes....
which of the wires connect to the inside, and which one to the outside?

@Slench101: Well, the outside of the RCA connector is GND, the inside is the signal.

@mome12345: You can get it at several shops already. Google will tell you. If you intend to build/design one from ground up, have a look at the schematic provided on the jyetech website. If you need this for professional jobs, take a look at the specs before. It is only good for 20Ms/s.

@zupnikal If someone needs a scope for professional use, he must buy a REAL scope (Tektronix or Agilent or whatsoever) and not try to measure something with this grabage. :)

@Schmiki24: Well if he/she knows that, then yes. For learning/playing with slow serial signals it is tolerable. If you have the money either get a used TEK 2-ch cro on ebay, or buy a rigol DSO. For beginners it is good enough. You can sell your house for a lecroy later.
