  • I enjoyed the movie. I don't know how this could have been made different? Would have those few items fixed really have change this movie?

  • @granddad2002 Since seeing this I have done further reading in physics. Time travel is pretty much impossible.

  • @tetsubo57 Impossible in some cases is assumed that no further facts will change the primary principle. Most of the arguments for time travel are based either on the huge energies, the exotic matters or the parameters of hypothetical engineering... you can have a lively debate on this. Until we can have a deeper understanding of physical time beyond 'something a clock measures', I am ready to listen. I had skepticism on teleportation, then IBM 'entangled' particles in an experiment.

  • @granddad2002 Three thoughts on time travel.

    1) *If* it were possible, you could never change the past. Making it a lovely form of tourism & pretty much nothing else.

    2) You would very likely be unable to travel to a point prior to the activation of the device itself.

    3) The only effective method to create one would require a stable wormhole and a ship moving at relativistic speeds. Not all that handy.

IBM didn't entangle anything. They just finally observed & detected actual entanglement.

  • You're actually kind of wrong. The Uber Morlok tells him he can't save Emma because he built the time machine for the sole purpose of saving her. Therefore, it's impossible to save her using the time machine because it would not have existed had she lived. Going along this line, since the time machine predates the Eloi and Morlock, he can change the future using it.

  • The reason he couldn't save Emma was temporal causality.

If Emma lives, he never invents the time machine.

Saying his Elio girlfriend didn't effect time in the same way.

I also thought that VOX was the most interesting character in the film, and I'm glad they kept him a live in the film, although I agree that it doesn't make sense that the technology would last 800,000 years.

  • I actually liked the 2002 remake, about the only remake, I've actually enjoyed, it has some nice subtle messages.

  • @tetsubo57 Yes u are entitled 2 your own opinion. But still the Time Machine is not a bad movie 4 the year of 2002. And I see some negative comments.I actually think that is was well made, and I'm not saying this only because my favorite actress is in it.I actually hate when she dies on a movie. The Time Machine is an AWESOME movie.

  • @Galijabre4Sienna Because I am entitled to my own opinion. And I can post that opinion on my own YT channel. You came to *my* channel. You do not have to watch any video. But thanks for sharing.
