As most of the researches made in the USA (The worst educated country in the Western Civilization.) the animation is incorrect. Tsunami is not a wave. What looks like wave is the front end of a huge block of water. It travels on water almost as if like a marble sheet skidding on the ground. It' s like a thick, flat, clean cut iceberg. When you watch the videos notice that the objects in water go up and stay there as the Tsunami progresses.

As in most of the American (Worst educated country in the Western civilization) researches, the the animation is incorrect. Tsunami actually does not come as a wave, it is a block of water that travels like a thick sheet marble skidding on the floor. It elevates the surface of the sea to the height of the wave like looking front end. Look carefully to the videos where you will see that objects in water go up, and stay there as the Tsunami rolls in.
