After S&G's debut album Flopperd, G headed back to school and Simon headed to the UK. There he formed a new partnership...a songwriting partnership with Bruce Woodley. This song, as well as I Wish You Could Be Here, and Red Rubber Ball were the result. But they had a falling out. On the PSR&T album, Woodley's name was omitted as a credit on this song. But a year later, The Seekers recorded it and Simon IS given a co-writing credit. From what I understand, Woodley had to sue to get royalties.

Thanks Plans4Nobody, this is one of my favourite S&G songs and I really like your video you've put with it. I'm in a very Cloudy mood today. Haven't seen my sunshine in a long time, thoughts are scattered and I don't know where I'm headin'.
