@TheRogueMonk I'm using ableton light right now .. I'm interested in VSTs from native instruments like massive and razor so for that i want to get logic instead of upgrading my ableton lite. ableton is more complex in my opinion but you do get session view wich is a FANTASTIC feature. every DAW will have the same outcome . it just depends on your workflow and opinion on the features. logic is better for your money (in my opinion I'm far from an expert) simple and effective i would go with logic

@petermarronmusic right now im using cubase on a macbook pro and im very satisfied, maybe later ill try pro logic 9 but im pretty content with cubase.

im trying to decide between pro logic 9 and pro tools 9 is there really any difference sound quality wise? cause all i care about is the quality.

@kyleshut Logic is awesome. I used FL first too. FL doesnt support 64-bit plug-ins yet either..... I just love Logics quality
To the person asking about dictaphone recordings - sorry I hit remove instead of reply - there are a load of plugins with Logic that would help you enhance/restore recordings. So yes, it should work. But remember its Mac OS X only since version 5.0 - we are now at 9
