  • I think that its disgraceful for a soldier to act the way you said some people are actiing, if they are Soldiers. You have the right to do what you are doing and even though I dont agree with you I hope that you dont have to endure many more of those weak peoples ridicule. The reason I disagree is because I read my contract and knew this could happen, just like we know we could die.- The contract says 8 years so its really no different then getting called back as a Reserve Soldier.- Thank you.

  • You didnt see anyone do that! You are a lier of you were confused about what you heard. You cant just say hey, I got another job now so I'm gonna go ahead and go.

  • I had no idea this even existed until I saw the moviw to be honest. I think it is awful that a soldier who VOLUNTEERS to go in is FORCED to stay in when their time is up. I am from 3 generations military (Army) and my brother is in the Air Force. I have great respect for the Military and our troops. With that said I do not agree with a back door draft.

  • war profiteering used to be illegal....

    tax and spend...YES

    borrow and steal....NO

  • Soldiers should be conpensated. Contractors(safer, less labor intensive) make 5 times more working over-seas. There is no incentive for a soldier to stay in.

  • If there was ever a draft, people would riot and refuse to go. I bet they would not get one person to report for MEPS. And you know what? The government would be fucked if that happened. They would NEVER be able to force 400,000 or so people to report, nor give them criminal records, or arrest them. They would be forced to accept the will of the demonstrators.

  • You can't avoid the stop-loss if it's enacted. It was enacted for only one year (2004) currently, there is no stop loss. This is a just a stupid anti-war movie. I hope it bombs and I'm sure it will.

  • So did you take the contract job to beat a stop-loss, like I've seen a few people do? How ironic is that. Anyway, you can quit anytime you want, the rest of us can't. You can talk trash because you know the chances of being called back from IRR are slim. But when you are staring a stop-loss in the face its a whole different matter. Technically, the government can draft any male over age 18 if they want ... but I am absolutely sure there would be riots in the streets.

  • Funny, in Ohio when they had the Democratic primary, only the 5 counties with 40% - 50% african american populations (Cleveland, Dayton, Columbus, Cincinatti, etc.) voted Obama. Goes to show how retarded this election is. Women voting Hillary, Blacks and college students voting Obama. Skin color and Gender now determine elections.

  • No surprise Democrats always win big in counties holding large inner cities yet everywhere else they do horribly.
