I think the art is half automatic drawing because I see your point. There are some parts of it that are planned and distinct but, if you get a sheet of paper and just start drawing full renedered something and then let your mind wonder off to finish the piece like his work seems it would be automatic.

What kind of fucking automatic drawings are these? These are fully rendered with distinct forms. If these are automatic, so is everything else. Though they are mildly imaginitive, they are not depicting anything purely unconscious, if such a thing exists during time spent awake.
