@DeikunZeon This was before sauron had regained his power and was calling to the ring to get it back. the ring itself has a kind of sentience and tries to return to sauron by trying to make them give up the ring to sauron or his servents. so it was kind of more dorment here i think

it seems like bilbo spends the whole second half of this movie invisible, and it has no ill-effects on him. it seems like in LOTR frodo wears it for two minutes and it completly Fs him up...
