The Next Big Thing: How Public Media Innovation Is Changing Journalism was held on Oct. 18, 2011, at the Carnegie Endowment Conference Center in Washington, DC.

This event brought together public media leaders from the U.S. and the U.K. to discuss how public media is disrupting its own fundamental models to build stronger journalism and media for tomorrow. Leading innovators and public broadcasting experts will debate whether the changes we are seeing are isolated bright spots — or signs of true institutional change and the next big thing.
