Steve, the engine does get hot but runs about the same temperature as it would on a kart and the compartment stays decently cool while riding. 10 pounds of ice can keep it cold for several hours. Also with the tuning we do these are very efficient engines, much better than most cars. Will have electric models soon featuring batteries and electricity from the good olé coal power plants.
