You seem to have issues with moving files around between your computers and N800. I've never had any problem with USB connections. Just plug them in and the memory cards are seen on my PC/Linux box or when connecting my digital camera.
The N800 easily replaces an iPhone. The cost of a cheap cell phone on whatever plan you like, pair an N800 with it for data access and you've just replaced an iphone for half the cost. AND you can load whatever programs you like, not just what apple allows.
great video ... my only comment is on the price. I paid $219 for mine in early 2008. I've traveled without a laptop thanks to my N800. I lets me browse/blog, skype, online bank and email for well under 2 lbs. Great when you're on extended travel (w/iGo bluetooth keyboard), but also have wifi in every hotel. As you know, Maemo-Mapper for GPS rocks! The best use was arranging a hotel near Iquazu Falls Argentina while in Hong Kong over skype.
the nokia n800 is an internet tablet not a phone, it can make phone calls over the internet, but its not compatible with any service such as tmobile or verizon. x]
