This is the last video I ever took of Matisse before he died... It was right after we moved to our new house, and he was VERY nervous about his surroundings. It was the first time he was allowed to free roam in our new house, and he didn't know what was what, and where to go...

Matisse was an emin's pouched rat, he passed away in '07. I'd love to have pouched rats in my life again, if anyone has them available they are LEGAL to own in the USA as of September 2008.

Can you please tell me, how old was he? Because their lifespan is around 7 years.

@Andulicek18 A little over 4 years. In the UK, they have problems getting emin's pouched rats to live past 2-3 years... His sister died not long after he did.

@abcasd1 yeah, there's one thing about pouched rats. They're constantly on the move and do NOT like being tied down for anything. They're not like domestic rats at all

So they were made legal again? At least that gives you a chance to find a new one, I've been wanting one for a while and I'm a little relieved they were made legal again.

@pouchedrattie I don't like rats but mattise looks too pretty and inteligent. It looks like a 1 in a million rat. How did u trained it to go to the bathroom?

Poor Matisse! I already love him when watching your videos. I know you suffered a lot when he passed away. I felt very saddened when my beloved cat died, just a year ago.
