To pronounce ㄑㄩㄢ properly one needs to set up the mouth ready to utter ㄩㄢ then integrate ㄑ to make a complete and integrated sound as opposed to pronouncing ㄑ．ㄩㄢ or even ㄑ．ㄩ．ㄢ in sequence. In other words, the proper Chinese speaker sets up the mouth exactly the same way to say ㄩㄢ and ㄑㄩㄢ. The only difference is at the tongue. This is one of the main reasons that some initials (聲)and finals (韻) do not combine.

所有文字的書寫形式都有簡化(偷懶 sloppy)的情況。 以英文來說，應包含字母的寫法及字的拼法(spelling)。 字母寫不好的英美人仕是多數，但從沒有人要把二十六個字母給改了­。 在拼法方面也沒人主張把字母多拼法難的字給簡化了。 你把 enough 寫成 inuf，to, too, 和two都改為to只會讓人說是程度低劣不懂拼字(spelli­ng)。 以我們中國人的話說就是寫白字。 用簡體字就是寫白字。

Zhuyin (注音) in Chinese means exact pronunciation specification as the word Zhu (注) carries the meaning of exactness. Pinyin (拼音) in Chinese means attempted sound approximation as the word Pin (拼) carries the meaning of attempting and approximation with the connotation of being kludgy.

I came to the U.S. when I was 7 and only recognize traditional Chinese. I work with children and find that ping ying confuses them because they can't differentiate the English alphabet pronunciations and ping yin pronunciations. It screws up one language or the other. It's a hindrance. I support you Mr. Pan!

殘體字的確是去漢化的產物，大部份正體字的部份都用「又」和「x­」來頂替，看起來不單醜更失去了真正漢字所擁有的意義。

@freedoomu 他都沒有說要取消漢語拼音 他意思是如其推廣漢語拼音，則不如推廣正體字 1. 簡體字是由正體字亂改而成 2. 正體字保留了中國二千年的文化(由秦始皇開始使用) 3. 正體字有其美感 4. 正體字方便我們看古書 5. 簡體字在理解上有問題(例如「干」可以指「干」、「乾」或「幹」­) 正體字唯一的缺點是筆劃太多，書寫較難 權衡利害，無疑正體字比簡體字更理想 共產黨已經消滅了很多中國文化，希望共產黨不要一錯再錯，快覺悟­吧！
