A film made on 2/7/2009 about the ceremony held at the Gracie Academy in Torrance, CA. To honor the life of Grandmaster Helio Gracie, the Gracie Jiu-JItsu Academy held a party at his request on Feb. 7, 2009. This video was shot by Matt Hurchick. In the video, he asks "little" Tony Pacenski (Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt) to talk about his experiences with Helio Gracie. Part I

With Helio's first wife, he had Rorion, Relson and Rickson as sons. At this time, Rorion Gracie is a Red belt and Relson is a Red/Black..  Peace

@shadetyped It's basically the 7th and 8th degrees of black belt in Gracie BJJ.Royce, Rickon, Carlos Jr. All are black/red belt holders. Some other non Gracie's i believe are one of the Machado brothers and Pedro Sauer. The red belt is reserved for those who as the Gracie's put it "for those whose influence and fame takes them to the pinnacle of the art".Generally unless you've been training since an early age and receive a black belt between 19-21 or so you might see a red belt by the age of 70

i believe when you have been a black belt for over 20 years, you qualify for a red/black belt. theres only a few that have them. i believe its around 7 or 8 degrees on your belt to get a red/black
