Slaap Lekker Ding (a Dutch Song with a Texas TWANG)

I heard this song on Sebastian Hawks site and he has a wonderful video he did to this song that you just HAVE to watch. It's the kind of video that makes you HAPPY!!

This song is in Dutch and is sung by Eva De Roovere who has a much better voice than I do!! I liked this song so much, that I had to learn it, play it, and record it! I do not know Dutch, soooo, after slaughtering this poor language I am probably singing about goat toenails or arm pit hair! LOL

I am only putting this on so that some of my less cultured YT friends can get some worldly exposure! ha ha I Youtube luv ya'll! (I also think you should check out the original!)

Many thank you's go out to "Ethan" who was at the park when I recorded this. He played my ukulele, turned on my car alarm, danced and sang while I played, and wanted an encore when I was done. His birthday is tomorrow so "Happy Birthday" to you. I just met him today!!

Hehe, that's one of the most respectful masacres I've ever hear of a song. I actually enjoyed it a lot. And don't worry, it's very well done for a non native-speaker. I didn't even think it was possible with this song, so thumbs up.

Do you know what the song is about? It's a very delicate and poetic song which does some very strange but playfull tricks with the dutch/flemish language. If you're interested, I could post a translation, although I don't think it would completely cover it.
