@CreepyLizard You also ignore that meth, cocaine, heroin, and the like are illegal in the US, but still get smuggled. Those who want it and can pay the price can get those drugs. The same is true of those who want guns and can pay the price. Gun control disarms the victim, not the criminal. When last I was in the UK, the police were having a "knife amnesty", a way to turn in illegal knives without fear of arrest. Gun control is a success in the UK? Not in reducing crime, it ain't.

@CreepyLizard 1) 26.2% (FBI statistics) of violent crimes in the US involve guns. 2) The most recent statistics I can find on drug crimes is from 2004. The highest they have is for property crimes as a means of feeding a drug habit. 3) There are an estimated 200 million guns in the US. If most of them are used in crime, the numbers don't jibe. 4) I will get back to your third point when you touch in more. You are very quickly leaning into the argument that I se all the time. Will you step on it?

@acoow 65% of Bahrain's crimes are related with with human trafficking, by the foreigners you mentioned, similar the Albanian Human Trafficking in Italy. I'm glad you googled a thing or two about Bahrain but it opposes your point, Bahrain has low crime rates because social issues such as drugs are minimized, and guns are kept from adding fuel to the fire - If the USA would legalize drugs under a controlled trust worthy system, drug related violence (the highest), would also be minimized

@acoow Culture plays it's part and guns add fuse to the fire and for this reason most crimes in the US are Gun-related.
Crimes in the US are largely centered around buying and smuggling drugs, we can't deny that guns give criminals more advantage.
Going back to the big picture; most gun-usage in America is in the name of crime
rather than self-defense as provided by Nationmaster. Your gun-crimes are high because the gun is integrated in your culture and all it's problems
