Leaving Hawaiian waters we pick up a hitch hiker. Chuck talks about Ginger Ale, Tuna and Roses.

Journey along with the crew of S/V Lealea as we sail from Honolulu to Neah Bay, WA in an Albin Vega 27. To view the entire "Sailing Across the Pacific" series from 2007 visit our channel and click the "Sea Log" playlist. • what song and bands is that playing?

  • @welderman27 The song is "Sailing" by Lawaia (Means fishermen in Hawaiian) from their album "Fresh off the Boat" 1995.

  • may i ask how long it took you to get from america to hawaii on your boat?

  • We began our trip in Hawaii and have not yet made the voyage West. The West to East crossing took 55 days due to a rigging failure. Typically, the trip, in either direction, would take about 30 days in a boat like ours. We know of two other Vegas that have made the Hawaii to Cape Flattery run in 28 days.
