The Kenya national union of teachers is now flexing its muscles pushing for a 300 percent salary hike for teachers. In its demands to the government, KNUT also wants teachers in cities and major towns to be paid a house allowance equivalent to seventy percent of basic salary. The union has given the government two weeks to respond to their demands before determining the next course of action. KTN'sPatrick Amimo reports.
