Temple of Artemis in the Book of Acts. Drive Thru History visits the biblical site of Ephesus where Paul challenged Demetrius and the silversmiths making statues of Artemis (Diana). Go to http://www.ColdWaterMedia.com to explore more videos in the Drive Thru History series.
The ancient city of Ephesus was home to the Temple of Artemis, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. Artemis (later called Diana by the Romans) was the goddess of fertility that supposedly controlled the reproduction of humans, animals, and crops. The Temple of Artemis at Ephesus was known throughout the ancient world for its temple prostitutes and hedonistic celebrations.

Yes, Artemis still reigns!!!! Hail Artemis!!! Even thousands of years of Christian persecutions and jabber could not turn people away from her or the other Gods. I still worship her. And the common depiction of her I have seen is not the one with countless breasts, her common depiction is her having just two with a bow in hand and sometimes a hunting hound at her side. Hail Artemis!
