Become an artist! Learn How to Draw: http://mhlo.co/HowToDrawApp
In this video, Mahalo's Photoshop expert Justin Zagri explains how Adjustment Layers work as separate image layers.

Instructions
---------------------------------------------------------------------

Now that you've made your subject into a Smart Object, you can easily make changes in a way that allows you to revert them or get rid of them whenever you want.

That is where the power of the Adjustment Layer comes into play. Adjustment Layers are separate image layers that exist strictly for making changes to your image. As with every other layer, you can change how they look or delete them. When it comes to making changes to your image, separate layers are key.

To add Adjustment Layers to your image, navigate to the top menu bar and click Layer -- New Adjustment Layer. There will be many options to choose from in the drop-down menu, such as Brightness/Contrast, Levels, Curves, Exposure, Vibrance, Hue/Saturation, Color Balance, Black and White, Photo Filter, Channel Mixer and others.
