@moiz1968 stupid comparison, a lot more people are on a train, no seatbelts so a train accident is different to a car accident

I work at epping. The terminating train announcement is automatic, because it IS a terminating service.. But forms another service which is updated in 2 minutes. The people getting on the train are familiar with the system so they board the train as usual..

@nGRSteve0
Shouldn't the announcements aim to help people who are not familiar with the service? Those who are familiar don't need announcements at all. Automatic systems need to have some flexibility to be relevant.

They do have flexibility. It plays the terminating service announcment ONCE then changes the indicator boards. The whole system is automatic anyway.

@nGRSteve0
If there is some flexibility why can't it be stopped after saying that it terminates and then say immediately where it will now be going. It doesn't look good to say Please do not board when there is no reason for people not to board the train.

They are a lot safer than cars. About 9-10 car accidents happen every 2 months and 1 train accident once every 1 year and a half

I agree with you. I don't even own a car.
