Just to clear up the dingbats on the canonical references:
TM 3, 4, Brawl, Black and 2012 aren't considered canon.
The ones that are considered canon are 1, 2 and Head-On.
Then again, I never really cared for the "storyline" when I played these games as a kid sooo...

@StainedBlackPaladin Marcus Kane not only is the name of Sweet Tooth in new Twisted Metal, but in all Twisted Metals. He's the "evil" part of Marcus Kane mind, the psychotic Needless Kane, or better now as Sweeth Tooth

The people in the background are the strike force that Warthog was going to use to kill Calypso if Calypso didn't give him the box. The strike force was dead there so Warthog had no back up and he drove off.
The box is the recorded message of an airplane that saw a UFO, aliens. The box was proof that aliens existed which means it would've thrown the world into chaos.
