  • Ah if wanes still watched this sort of thing they'd maybe not be smoking crack and stabbing folk when they're twelve years old.

  • So different to kid's TV now... such a relaxed pace, and all done in a single take with such simple means.

And to think back in those days it was safe to leave five baby bunnies playing outside by themselves. Oh how times have changed.

  • I used to have this on video

Yes of course nothing bad ever happened to human beings, or rabbits, during the middle years of the 20th century. All was peace, prosperity and harmony for all, before those flipping Beatles destroyed everything. And it was all in glorious black and white!

  • @JanAndPete1 ps,heres the animation :) /watch?v=uwNJfs9O8RI

  • @JanAndPete1 well i was born in 1990 and i used to watch this all the time. I think it probably because my mum watched it ...but we all had board games etc but used computer games aswell. i think now its really bad, so much technology, i work in a kids shop and all the kids who come in act like theyre 18, they dont seem to like the things i used to at that age, its worrying, im gonna bring my kids up to watch the old classics...like the faeries animation by brian froud, i used to love that!

  • I wish this sort of thing was still on tv in its original black and white state it makes it all the more special I think it would really give kids a sense of how lucky they are to have the things they have today

  • @aliquidcow I know, everything today even for toddlers has to have some element of an evil or nasty monster. That is not relaxed , and creates a fear in their young minds rather an enter into a wonderful world of learning and laughter.

  • I looked forward to Watch with Mother every day.My mum did watch with me .I was a child in the 50s and everyone looked after each other you could go and play on the street or in the woods with friends and have fun .Kids today have to sit in-front of TV all day or on their Nintendo never having any conversation .I remember coloring books ,comics, jigsaws, board games, whip n top, skipping and encyclopedias to name but a few .Kids today use the word Bored too much .

  • It seems yesterday that I watched this .why carnt children today be brought up with this instead of violent game consoles.the world might be a nicer place .looking at this makes you think how innocent children were in the 50s

  • @littlerisingstars im 25 and we had this on video too! we loved it , im one of 6 kids!!! times were hard but we had a brilliant childhood! thumbs up!!
