During Kidd Video's visit to Lotus Land, the Copy Cats steal the mermaids' magical instruments for Master Blaster, kidnapping Carla and Glitter's nephew, Glint, in the process. The mermaids wail when they realize their instruments are gone, causing Barnacolis to wake and rise from the ocean floor. He threatens to destroy the city unless quiet is restored. Kidd and Whiz go to the fortress to try and rescue their friends and the instruments while poor Ash stays behind...to calm the mermaids with his bad songs. Featured video: Duran Duran, "Hungry Like the Wolf." This video is from the original run of the show, commercials included.
Kidd Video followed by Mr. T and then Going Bananas? Man, those were the days.

The video at the end reminds me of "Union of the Snake" by Duran Duran

You don't see anything of this in nowadays crap cartoons, only in this episode The Police and Duran Duran, great music.

I just noticed something. One minute Ash is on the beach, the next he's with the band out in the middle of the ocean. How did he move so fast to his friends?

Yeah, the kids were a real band. Played their own instruments and everything. Of course the video would have you believe otherwise. CHEESETASTIC!
