my mackie sr1530 & 450v2 speakers. Just testing out one of each with my setup. They seem to be working well together. Although I'm not as impressed with the 1530's as the 450v2's almost put out the same sound.

  • I have a few 1530s i am trying to find a sub. i just bought a powered jbl 18 and it seems mad quiet even with the gains all the way up compared to the 1530. any ideas on a good powered sub to combo with these? if not i will be selling them in the next week and buying 4 k12s and 3 more jbl subs

  • @QmarcesQ Me personally I prefer the earthquake series from cerwin vega but they are not powered. But what I have heard alot of talk about is the new mackie hd1801 powered sub. But the only problem with powered subs in my opinion is they never pound as hard, not sure why but thats why stick with the powered pa and amplified subs. You might also want to check that you don't have too many speakerson the xlr signal without a signal booster because I had the same problem with a powered sub and that

  • @QmarcesQ (2nd) was the same kind of situation. The gain was all the way up and didn't do much of anything. But how do you like your 1530s? It seems like my 450v2's are much louder but not quite as bassy but they still pump. And i've noticed that if i run my 1530s up they will cut back and go into red which is strange considering the volume level I have them at. But who knows I don't think ill buy another set of them for sure for what they cost im not overly impressed.

  • I already have a pair of 1530's and 450v2 the 1521's would be a downgrade from the 1530's. They are plenty just need a couple vega subs to finish it off.

  • personally if you can get them for that price I might Would consider it. But if your budget is available I would say buy a QSC 3602 amp and a pair of yamaha dual 15 loudspeakers but if not go with them. The only down fall I have is if you need to feel a deep club like bass you will definately need subs. I also have a problem with these cutting out on protection mode quite often when pushing them hard. Feel free to contact me as I tried to post more info but ran out of room to write. Chris

i like them but i am thinking about changing to 2 or 4 k12's and 2 coupled 18inch powered subs.

i think for what i paid they should preform better and not clip at such low levels but i do think they sound good.

  • Get A Pair Of SA1521's. They Sound Really Good You Wont Need Anything Else =)
