during the period of ignorance before islam came, the women would wear scarves like that until Allah (swt) ordered the believing women to not tie their scarves behind their head but bring them forward to cover their chest.

It's completely alright to wear spanish wraps (thats what they're called) as long as you "draw a veil" around your neck and chest.

Versatile hijab wrap, absolutely. It's so versatile and popular especially among Egyptian hijab veil stylists, that I really think the REAL challenge is spicing up the regular and traditional hijab wraps :). Nice vid!
