@Vrishasena But I know in the Tulsidas Ramayan....in AranyaKanda when Shapurnaka..went to Ravan and told him of the killing of Khara and Dhushan...Ravan ponder in his mind saying..."No one can kill those demons..except the Lord himself....I shall make enemy with him..and attain salvation at his feet"...So yeah Ravan probably had a clue of who he was...according to the Tulsidas Ramayan....Forgive me if I have not answer your question truly...but from what I learned this is what I kno.Jai Shri Ram

@Vrishasena Shri Ram was not born from a womb....He actually appear in his four arm form and took birth just like Shri Krishna....just this incarnation...requires him to behave, act, and play the role of a human man.....so his deeds can be imitated by normal men...while Shri Krishna...show the greatness and power of God...which was required for that incarnation...so each incarnation of God had it own purpose and mission to complete.....

@Vrishasena Due to the curse they receive from the Sanat Kumars....jay and Vijay...when they left the heavenly abode...and took birth as demons 3 times...didnt know of they true selves....due to the fact they were born in the physical world.....as in regards to Shri Ram finding he was Vishnu...after Ravan death...Shri Ram knew his identity...for he is the Lord..just he didn't say he's the Supreme Lord...because he have to play the part of a normal human man...

I have a question. Did the various avatars of Jaya & Vijaya, be they the Hiranya brothers, Ravan & Kumbhakarna, and Sishupala & Dantavatra, have any idea that they were avatars of Vishnu's bodyguards? While Varaha, Narasimha and Krishna knew who they were, Rama didn't know he was Vishnu until after Ravan's death. But did these 6 know, as suggested by this video about at least Ravan?
