Had breakfast with my 2 and 1 year old listening to this 50 times. We loved it and clapped after every performance! Thank you Mr. Quasthoff for this exceptional performance!

I'm actually playing this at my high school. But is this like a nusery rhyme? Don't give me dislikes, but it sounds like a song for little kids

I've listened to this this over 9000 times. It literally brought me out of depression.

He is such a good musician!!! Not that this song necessarily is a way to show that, but all of his interpretations are spot on.

Leave it to Aaron Copland to compose this...I mean really. This isn't music! Go listen to some Stravinsky or Chopin if you know what's good for you.

@kevinjthorn
How can you compare Copland to Stravinsky or Chopin! These are totally different types of music!

@kevinjthorn
By the way, English language you're using isn't the English...I mean really. Go read Shakespeare! )))

Thomas Quasthoff was born at a time when doctors prescribed thalidomide (in German Contergan) as a sleeping pill. One single pill was enough for the baby to be affected/harmed by it. There were 5000 children born in Germany with handicaps caused by thalidomide.

@kwertmil wasn't thalidomide a morning sickness pill?
