I don't know why Liberals are so hard on Lou Dobbs. He was pretty outspoken about his oppossition against the war and bush's foreign policy. He's independent. sometimes it seems that both sides are unwilling to hear reason.

what deliberation is put forward??? even you have no deliberation. just weak talking points, i havnt seen hannity or o'reilly tonight; which one of them, if not both said that? the real debate goes on within the democrats (socialists/communists to you) and the current republican party does nothing, nothing . . . just lies to the 15% of imbeciles out there so they can repeat it the next day. forget a 2 party system --- there is one party which tries and another who just lies

it's too bad we can't have a "magic camera" that could show us what would have happened if there were no bailouts whatsoever -WHICH BTW STARTED WHILE BUSH WAS IN OFFICE! Theoretically, if the government had done nothing and let the chips fall where they may, we'd be in MUCH deeper crap right now- That said, BOTH administrations should have put serious restrictions on those bailouts and demanded serious accountability. Meanwhile, service taxes are nothing new and have been going up for decades.

Second, you seem to be confusing debt with spending. I don't like Obama, but he hasn't spent $6 trillion as you're implying.

You hear wrong. Just think about it. Obama's been in office for nine months. He could not possibly have spent more than Bush did in eight years, especially with two wars. And indeed, the numbers bear the intuition out. Compare the annual federal budgets if you'd like.
