There will only be text + some images / short vids. I am not going to speak, because I hate talking I'll retype what's in the video below.

Sorry for the horrible quality. The quality was immediately downgraded after uploading. It was crystal clear before :( Youtube sucks.

I bought my Razer Lycosa gaming keyboard on January 13th '09. I'm just showing some pics to you guys, and telling you how I feel about it after using it for almost a week. Just hope that it would provide a 'lil more details to those considering getting one.

Things I like about the keyboard:
- It's thinness.
- The way it looks. Blue backlight on every keys except space looks really nice.
- Touchpad is convenient.
- Comfortable. The keys' response when pressed 'n let go is perfect.

Imperfections (not a big deal, just to let you know):
- It's light. Might be accidentally moved when using (I didn't use the wristrest)
- Fingerprints will be EVERYWHERE on the reflective surface
- The shortcut/macros can only be executed by one key (e.g. cannot set to SHIFT+F1)
- Touchpad is flat. You cannot be certain whether you pressed it right without looking or after the function is executed.

Overall:
I LOVE IT. I have zero regrets buying this :D

If you have any questions you wanna ask, please do so! I'll try my best to answer it ASAP.

  • Hi, is it easy to remove the wrist rest ? Or we have to break things ? Is it normal to be abble to remove it ? Thanks a lot :)

  • @RaphaelH1427 There are no worries in removing the wrist rest. It takes a little force, but it is nowhere difficult enough to start breaking or scratching things.

  • I know this is old but, I am considering to buy this. Is it still good? Are there any other ones like this with also Back Lit keys and Macro keys?

  • @backhand630 Mine is still good as I use it at work right now. It has been almost three years now. I would recommend the Mirror version, as the rubber coating may wear off after frequent use.

  • @backhand630 For Razer, IIRC all keyboards feature macro keys and only the Arctosa and non-ultimate Blackwidow doesn't have backlit keys.

  • hi, ive seen some videos of the lycosa keys 'deforming' and i wondet if that will happen with me. i have hyperhidrosis (google it)

  • @ViperSnake52

Hey there. My hands sweat a lot too. The keys did not deform (didn't sink in, etc.), but the rubber coating would peel off.

  • @WikiPeoples What's with all you bitches whining on youtube about the most unimportant shits lately?

  • This will be cool so when your playing call of duty, when you hit "T" to chat, your keys will illuminate, then when you press enter, the keys go back to WASD.

Thats gonna be my first macro.

  • Does razer got a wireless keyboard product?

  • i might buy it but i have a question, for the gaming mode can you switch the keys to light up, i ask this because i dont really play alot of games that use wasd, i play a game that uses qwer alot, can i switch them?

  • i have this keyboard too, i love it <3 the only thing i dont like, is that it randomly disconnects... like 3 times in 100hrs... :3

  • You left out the part where you mention it constantly sticks and you have to unplug it.

After you get killed in your game and spend 5 minutes digging behind your computer to find the cord of course.

What a piece of shit. If your thinking about buying one of these, dont. I didnt heed others warnings and now I have to unplug this thing at least once every hour.

It would be nice if Razer would just fix their fucking drivers and stop being the Zellers Jewellery of computer companies.

  • the only difference is arctosa does not have led xD

  • This is a terrible keyboard, I'm using it now and I can't wait to replace it. The backlights never stay on for more than 5 minutes at at time then I have to cycle through the touchpad several times to get them back on again. Also the buttons randomly stop working. Yeah. Awesome.

  • Biggest POS keyboard on the market. 3 replacements later.... and I got a blackwidow for a replacement instead. Unfortunately it sucks too, but w/e.

  • So you have the Lycosa with ruberised keys and their still fine? I've heard horror stories of it coming off after a few weeks.

  • @Lucario1211 nice. hope you're enjoying your lycosa as much as me!

  • @dumdum987654321 if you figure out how to do this tell me!
