  • that bit where they walk away is realy symbolic of what hapened after waters left floyd... hes on his own whereas gilmore is surrounded by people. waters is completely infamous now, and only because he has the balls to speak his mind. i went to see him in may this year and half the people there were wearing division bell shirts. can you believe that? he may have been a bit of a prick during the wall tour but big deal, he had a vision, he stuck by it, fair play as far as im concerned...

  • I've read all of the responses and I have this to say. However broken the communication....however distant the relationaship is and probably will remain, the fact that two men who vehemently hated each other after a bitter feud between money and rights...both came away with something positive from Live 8. They consentually agreed to meet and talk and embrace. It was awkward, but they did it. Let's be optimistic here. Roger and Dave actually talked in a civil manner. It's a grand start!!

  • i wonder if roger waters made his peace with Richard Wright, Before Richard passed away............

  • @priestofodin very well put...

  • i still don't get why those two ain't playing together, some childish collision of different points of view, why can't they see when they're together is when everything happens? again, why isn't Pink Floyd composing/playing???

  • Wich DVD is it?

  • @dontleademsomuch i disagree.

  • Strange seeing those two together after so many years.

  • Mr Gilmour is a very good man

  • @darkflamer23 Their lyrics weren't good before 1973. Moreover, how pleasing it is to the ear is just as important as lyrics. If that weren't true, you could kiss many of the classical songs goodbye.

  • I disagree that Pink Floyd floundered after Waters left. In fact, I believe they flourished, if not in their music then in their spirit. Waters was a maniacal dictator and David far outshone him in talent and looks as well.

  • @dontleademsomuch. the post-waters albums weren't bad, but they weren't brilliant either. It's just like a great recipe. you take away any part of it and it doesn't taste the same. With Water's lyrics and overall conceptual themes, the new floyd albums would have reached that brilliant stature. They came up short. That's my opinion anyway.
